Tactical Names is run by Hey Genie LLC. This page says what we collect, why, where it lives, and how to get it removed. We collect the least we can to run a paid desk, and we do not sell or share personal data for advertising.
What we collect
Your email address. It is your sign-in and the address for the morning email, if you turn that on. There is no password.
What you do on the desk. Marks (watch, pass, bid amounts), outcomes you record (won, lost, cancelled, sold), portfolio entries, the lists you create or upload, and the fit rules the desk derives from those actions. This is the data that makes the desk yours, and it is used only to run your desk.
Advisor usage. For each advisor message we store the date, the model used, token counts, cost and whether it succeeded, so we can apply your daily allowance. We do not store the text of your questions or the replies.
Billing status. Your Stripe customer id, plan, subscription status and the Stripe event ids we have processed. Card numbers never reach us; Stripe handles payment on its own pages under its own privacy policy.
Service logs. Request logs with IP address, time, path and status, kept for a short period for security and rate limiting. Logs never contain your email, your lists or your messages.
We do not use analytics or advertising trackers. The only cookies are the ones that keep you signed in.
Who processes it
The desk runs on Vercel (hosting, United States). Data is stored in Supabase (database and sign-in, United States). Advisor questions, with the names and figures on your screen, are sent to Anthropic to generate the reply; Anthropic's commercial terms do not let it train on this traffic. Email is sent through Resend. Payments are handled by Stripe. Each of these processes data only to provide its part of the service.
The names, prices and auction data on the desk come from GoDaddy's public daily file and are not personal data.
How long we keep it
Your account data stays while your account exists. If you ask us to close your account, we delete your account and everything tied to it within 30 days, except billing records that tax law requires us to keep. Service logs are kept for no more than 30 days.
Your choices and rights
You can turn the morning email on or off on the You page, or use the link at the bottom of any morning email. You can cancel your plan from Manage billing. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or have your account deleted, email support@tacticalnames.com from the address on the account. We answer within 30 days. If you are in a place with data protection law such as the EU, UK or California, these are the rights that law gives you, and you may also complain to your local authority.
Security
Connections are encrypted. Access to your data in the database is restricted to your own account by row-level rules. Secrets are kept out of the code and the logs. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you.
Children
The desk is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes, and material changes are announced by email before they take effect. Questions and requests go to support@tacticalnames.com.
